Shawna Beck, Senior Care Placement Consultant & Educator
I unknowingly began my career at the age of 16 while waitressing at a senior living community. My passion for the elderly was found and grew strongly from there. I graduated from San Diego State University, receiving my BA in Recreational Therapy. I have worked professionally in the health care field for over 20 years. With experience working in hospital settings, outpatient clinics, hospice care, dementia care, senior living, and durable medical equipment providing me with the skills and expertise in sales, leadership, management, education, consulting, and communication to name a few. I have worked with multiple populations, which include adults, children, adolescents and seniors that have suffered from and or needed general or geriatric psychiatry, chemical dependency, dementia, eating disorders, end of life care, and assisted living.
There has always been a common theme in my profession which is caring about people and helping them live a better quality of life by providing them with appropriate care and resources meeting their individual needs. I have a great passion for people with seniors being close to my heart. Being able to help someone warms my heart and brings me joy and fulfillment It is my goal to provide people with correct and good information so they can make an informed decision for themselves or their loved one.

Thyrza Knox, RN, Senior Care Placement Consultant & Educator
As a Registered Nurse, I am able to function as a clinical patient advocate and sometimes mediator between family members. I’m the one with the “pain medicine,” the educator and the resource person. As a Senior Care Placement Consultant, families trust me to help them navigate a confusing world of residential care facilities for the elderly and home care agencies. In this role, I’m your resource person, sounding board, educator, sometimes your prayer partner, and many other needed roles. As a family caregiver, I understand the importance of providing love and support for your loved one. I have a special needs son, who brings me joy, laughter and challenges that I have to figure out. So, I understand what it is like to need “support”.
I was born in Chicago but lived in Alabama for several years. I provide honesty and respect when helping families find appropriate care for their loved ones. I am a wife and mother. My goal is to own and operate a residential care facility for the elderly. There is no greater joy than to be a servant to those in need.
Originally from Chicago but raised in Alabama, I provide Southern hospitality when helping families find appropriate care for their loved ones. One day I will own and operate a residential care facility for the elderly. There is no greater joy than to be a servant to seniors.
